And how do filipino men view american men?
Do they hold a stereotypical view?
EG I asked filipino americans who moved to the USA some similar questions and came up with *generally*
superstitious, love to sing A LOT, love to gossip, venerating-etc.
LOL, Jack, you’ve just made me even more curious!

Questions like this generate answers that are usually a little more revealing than you expect. Then those who give an “honest” opinion get a violation. It’s kinda like when your wife asks “do these pants make my butt look big?” It’s always better to pretend you didn’t hear the question because there is no good answer.
American women are independent women.
American women are very much liberated and very independent women but they are not that expressive in their feelings, like what pinays they say we are “sweet”.
Obviously I’m not an American woman but here is my perception.
It depends on the current status of the pinay:
- If she’s in the philippines, she is often impressed by their physical and emotional strength. Some pinays view them as agressive to the point of masculinity.
In general, and this is my opinion, American women, of any race and religion, are straightforward and are annoyed by coyness. Sweetness is perceived as submission.
Kanas value tact, self-respect, discipline and integrity over some pinays’ OA taklesa-ness, self-doubt, bahala na attitude and the tendency to play passive aggressive mind games”.
- If she’s been in the US for a while, she usually adopts the qualities above and realizes its value.
Britney Spears!
I think that filipinas think that american women and themselves share many similarities. The only difference being that filipinas have more skills.
I don’t think filipino men think to much about american men.
