On one occasion I observed a filipina being man-handled by her filipino boyfriend and nobody stepped in or even raised an eyebrow.
On another occasion I observed a filipina being man-handled by a foreigner not only did a bunch of dudes jump in and get involved but the police were called and the foreigner was arrested.
Why do we treat foreigner as a double standard?

it’s pretty much that way for everyone
because they’re very much more closely related to you than that ‘foreigner’ is
if you saw someone groping your sister regardless if he was her bf or not, you’d probably step in to stop it too
on the other hand when it’s filipino x filipina as long as consent is there and they don’t do something too rowdy, it’s more of a something-in-the-family sort of thing
Yes, Mr Hopeless, thats exactly what the question is asking. Double standard? Yes. Member of the family? WTF is a spouse? You hopeless dolt!!
racism.
It is more acceptable seeing a filipina being man-handled by a filipino guy than a filipino guy being “man-handled” by a filipina. Lol.
Okay, forget what I said. We read news about our fellow filipinos being discriminated, filipinas beaten up by their foreign husbands (sometimes even killed). I’m not saying that there aren’t filipino men who do the same to their partners but its just so different when you see someone who is obviously not a filipino doing bad to our fellow filipinos. Its the same feeling that a mother gets when she knows that one of her children is unhappy and some “stranger”, just a stranger is hurting her child. She would ask herself, “How dare he do that to my child, I’ve never done that to my child and even if I do, I have the right ’cause I am the mother”. Its how filipinos think, as much as possible they want to protect their fellow filipinos from the foreigners. They get mad when they see filipinos do something bad to their women too but it hurts more when you see a foreigner doing that. Its the same reason why if a foreigner calls one filipino ignorant (or whatever), other filipinos will get mad (some don’t). Although filipinos argue with each other, we are united when we see a non-filipino step on some or even just one filipino. We’re a family, there are arguments within the family, we hate some of our family members but when someone who doesn’t have the same last name (family name) enters the scene and do/say something about one family member, the whole family is affected. They say that what you’re doing to one filipino, you’re doing it as well to the other filipinos. That’s why they are so happy just because a filipino singer (for example) is praised by foreigners. You would ask, why are all of them happy? Shouldn’t it just be the singer? They would answer you, “because she/he is filipino, filipino pride!”. Lol. Anyway, I didn’t say that all foreigners are bad.
I hope this doesn’t confuse you. My answer sucks.
THE FOREIGNER HAS ” FOREIGN CURRENCY” thats the MAIN AND ONLY REASON..
MAJORITY OF MALE FILIPINO’S ARE …COWARD, THATS WHY THEY “MAN HANDLE” FILIPINA’S BCAUSE A FEMALES BODY, IS BASICALLY FRAIL,AND NOT AS STURDY AS A MALE….SO THE POTENTIAL FOR A WOMAN TO COUNTER THE BRUTALITY OF A FILIPINO CHIMP…IS LESSER…
Because it is a much greater insult to a Filipino to witness a countrymate getting abused by a foreigner. Why would Filipinos feel that way? Perhaps 400+ years of exploitative colonization may provide you a clue.
Probably due to the fact that it’s the same way with them foreigners as well. We Filipinos are not allowed to manhandle foreign women in their land, although their men usually can manhandle them with impunity.
racism, of course!…that’s one reason.
another is possession, filipinos always thought that it is okay to reprimand our kids in order to discipline them but it is not okay for other people to do the same to our kids. we always think that they are our own children therefore, we alone can punish them.
it’s in our nature, no matter what race we came from.
